NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind has facilitated former Kerala Governor and ex-CJI P S Sathasivam for his contribution in maintaining the dignity of the highest constitutional post in the state, nurturing Centre-state relationship and giving priority to the service and welfare of the people of the state.
Sending the ex-CJI turned Governor, who now leads a life of a farmer, a baton decorated with the emblem of Republic of India through a special messenger, the President in his letter said, you held the highest constitutional post of Kerala as Governor. You have discharged constitutional duties of the post while maintaining the dignity of the position and you gave priority to the services and welfare of the people of the state.
In his speech, the Governor also mentioned the state government s food for all initiative implemented during the time of lock down, community kitchens of Kudumbashree, relief camps,the regular supply of provision kits to all card holders and the care shown towards the elders and guests workers during the crisis.

A scheme to provide free coaching to civil services and other competitive examinations to 10,000 meritorious but financially weak students across Kerala was launched by state Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Saturday.
Declaring open the One School, One IAS programme being implemented by Vedhik Erudite Foundation with the support of sponsors, he said, This higher education platform will give the children a chance to completely redecorate their future plans and broaden their horizons.
