VOORHEES - Police are investigating the shooting of a 16-year-old boy here Saturday night.
The victim, whose name was not released, was being treated at an area hospital Sunday, according to the Camden County Prosecutor s Office.
It said several people approached a Voorhees police officer around 11:20 p.m. and said the shooting victim was in their vehicle.
Investigators determined the youth had been shot on the first block of Franklin Avenue, a residential area near Kirkbride Road.
An investigation is underway and no arrests have been announced.
Anyone with information is asked to call Prosecutor s Detective Alex Burckhardt at 856-225-5048 or Voorhees Police Detective Lance Klein at 856-627-5858.
McBride has stayed the sentence pending the outcome of the prosecutor’s appeal.
Flinn was convicted of two counts of official misconduct after a jury determined he hit a 13-year-old girl during an arrest at an Erial group home in March 2018. Police body cams recorded the arrest, which occurred after officers responded to a report of a fight at the home.
A state health official described the arrest in a letter that announced the revocation of Flinn’s EMT certification earlier this year. Bodycam footage … showed the victim lying prostrate with both of her hands behind her back, wrote Terry Clancy, director of the state’s Office of Emergency Medical Services
