Nova Scotia Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang said planning the COVID-19 vaccine rollout beyond two-week blocks is challenging because the vaccine supply is fragile and ultimately out of our control.
Strang made the comments Tuesday at a COVID-19 briefing where he outlined a three-month plan for prioritizing vaccinations amid supply constraints. The province also announced two more exposures in Halifax. We are focusing on delivering vaccine to health-care workers who are directly involved in the front-line COVID response, as well as staff, residents and designated caregivers in long-term care and residential care facilities, he said.

The Saint John Sea Dogs have added a Calgary Flames prospect to their lineup.
Ryan Francis joins the team following a trade with the Cape Breton Eagles this week.
Francis tallied 24 goals and 72 points in 61 games during the 2019-20 season with the Eagles.
Trevor Georgie, president and general manager of the Sea Dogs, described Francis as an “offensive threat and a game-breaker.”
“We have seen that first-hand playing against him in the same division and it will be nice to now have him in our lineup,” Georgie said in a news release.
