– Showbuzz Daily has the overnight numbers for this week’s edition of WWE NXT. While this week’s show featured two major, highly anticipated title matches, it was not enough to draw additional interest for last night’s USA Network broadcast. Viewership fell below just under 700,000 viewers this week, and ratings were slightly down as well.
Tuesday’s edition of NXT ultimately drew an average overnight audience of 697,000 viewers. That’s down from last week’s audience of 761,000 viewers. Last week’s show had a slight viewership increase from the week before as well. This is the first time WWE NXT has fallen below 700,000 viewers since the show moved to its new regular timeslot on Tuesday nights.

AEW star Matt Hardy believes people who think pro wrestling is waning in popularity are clueless.
While responding to Dave Meltzer, who pointed out that WWE RAW, AEW Dynamite and WWE SmackDown were all No. 1 on either cable or network TV this past week [in the 18-49 demo], Hardy tweeted that pro wrestling is still “very healthy & extremely profitable.”
It’s shocking how unaware people are of the TV landscape. TV wise, wrestling is very healthy & extremely profitable, especially considering it literally survived a business-killing pandemic. There are a 1000 times more options, on multiple competing platforms, to watch in 2021.
Meanwhile, the Blood & Guts edition of AEW Dynamite drew 1.090 million viewers on TNT, ranking #1 on the Cable Top 150 for the first time ever. AEW’s numbers were up 27.3% from the previous week’s show.

Biography special on WWE Hall of Famer Booker T finished with an overnight audience of 595,000 viewers. That’s another decrease from last weekend’s overnight audience of 790,000 viewers for the Macho Man Randy Savage special. Viewership has gradually decreased for each episode since the show’s debut featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin.
In the P18-49 key ratings demo, numbers were also down. The Booker T special drew a 0.24 rating. That’s down from the 0.31 rating for last week’s Randy Savage special. The shows did have some tough competition. Between the usual reality programming, there was also the live sports events on ESPN and FS1.

Showbuzz Daily has the ratings for this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, which was the go-home show for WWE WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday. This week’s show drew an average audience of 1.817 million viewers on the USA Network broadcast, which is down slightly from the viewership of 1.872 million viewers for last week’s episode.
For the hourly breakdown, the first hour drew 1.912 million viewers, Hour 2 drew 1.828 million viewers, and Hour 3 drew 1.710 million viewers. RAW ranked No. 7 on the night on cable on total viewership.
