Romanian RCS&RDS parent Digi swings to net profit in Q1 Digi CEO Serghei Bulgac
BUCHAREST (Romania), May 17 (SeeNews) - Digi Communications [BSE: DIGI], majority owner of Romanian company RCS&RDS, turned a 14 million euro ($17 million) profit in the first quarter of 2021, compared to a 56 million euro net loss in the same period last year.
Total revenues rose 8.6% on the year in the period under review, reaching 340 million euro, Digi said in a preliminary financial statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, on Friday.
Total operating expenses for the first three months of 2021 increased to 30.7.6 million euro, compared to 277.9 million euro in the same period of 2020, while net finance costs decreased to 26 million euro, from 98 million euro.

BUCHAREST (Romania), February 24 (SeeNews) - Digi Communications [BSE: DIGI], majority owner of Romanian company RCS&RDS, said that its net profit decreased to 16.35 million euro ($19.87) in 2020, from 40.58 million euro achieved in the previous year.
Total revenues rose 8.1% on the year in 2020, reaching 1.3 billion euro, Digi said in a preliminary financial statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB on Tuesday.
Total operating expenses for 2020 increased to 1.1 billion euro, compared to 1.04 billion euro in 2019, while net finance costs jumped to 143 million euro in 2020, from 84 million euro.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) rose to 479.8 million euro at the end of 2020, compared to 446.3 million lei a year earlier. Total consolidated net debt rose to 1.061 billion lei at the end of 2020, compared to 979.2 million
Appeal of exclusion of Romanian RCS&RDS s parent Digi from Hungarian 5G tender dismissed Digi Communications
BUCHAREST (Romania), February 10 (SeeNews) - Dutch-based Digi Communications [BSE:DIGI], majority owner of Romanian company RCS&RDS, said that its appeal of exclusion from a 5G frequency tender was rejected by Hungary s top court. On 4 February 2021, the Supreme Court of Hungary dismissed the Company’s appeal and thus upheld the first instance court’s judgement, which maintained as lawful the decision issued by the Hungarian Media and Informations Authority (NMHH) to reject the Company’s participation in the tender related to wireless broadband services supporting the introduction of 5G in Hungary, Digi said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB on Tuesday.
Romania s RCS&RDS parent secures 150 mln euro syndicated loan Digi Communications
BUCHAREST (Romania), December 16 (SeeNews) - Dutch-registered Digi Communications N.V. [BSE: DIGI], the majority owner of Romanian company RCS&RDS, said on Wednesday that it has concluded a 150 million euro ($183 million) senior facility agreement with a syndicate of banks.
Digi will use the 100 million euro term loan facility to refinance a short-term loan contracted in October 2016, while the revolving credit facility worth 50 million euro will be used for capital expenditure, investments, general corporate, and working capital purposes, it said in a statement filled with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB.
