Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity Ogilvy Pakistan wins two Grand Prixes

ISLMABAD: In a historic first, Ogilvy Pakistan won two Grand Prixes for Telenor Pakistan at this year’s Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity. This was the first time that any advertising agency had won the most prestigious award for the country, says a press release received here on Tuesday.
Ogilvy Pakistan won the Grand Prixes in the Media (Corporate Purpose and Social Responsibility) and the Mobile (Insights) categories. Apart from the two Grand Prixes, Ogilvy Pakistan also bagged a gold in the Sustainable Development Goals (reduced inequalities) category and two Silver Lions in Mobile (mobile led creativity) and the Direct (cultural insights) categories as well. All of this flew for its campaign of “Naming the invisible by Digital Birth Registration” Campaign for Telenor Pakistan, by utilising the mobile technology to provide digital birth registration for 1.3 million ‘invisible’

As Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity 2021 wraps up, Dentsu Webchutney and FCB Interface emerged as the most awarded agencies. Indian agencies brought home 2 Gold Lions, 10 silver lions and 10 Bronze Lions â a total of 22 awards.
As a part of the Punishing Signal campaign, the first leg of activation was tested in Mumbai at important junctions that are most prone to heavy traffic such as CSMT, Marine Drive, Peddar Road, Hindmata and Bandra. And the film gives one glimpses of the confused honking Mumbaikars who honked, waited, honked and learnt it the hard way, that honking is not the way out.
