RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited ISI Headquarters on Thursday where he was briefed on important issues including regional security situation.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived at the Inter-Services Intelligence Headquarters in Islamabad and was received by DG ISI Lt Gen Faiz Hameed.
DG ISI gave a detailed briefing to the COAS on regional and national security situation as well as challenges.
According to ISPR, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa appreciated the ISI’s efforts for national security and expressed confidence in its professionalism.

A senior US official has reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to a “long-term mutually-beneficial security partnership” with Pakistan after the two countries held strategic-level defence dialogue here the other day.
Pakistan-US strategic level defence dialogue was held on Thursday but the two sides issued separate handouts on Friday. The US delegation was led Assistant Secretary of Defence for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs David Helvey, while the Pakistani side was headed by Lt Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the Chief of General Staff.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss the country s internal and external security situation in a meeting also attended by Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI) Gen Faiz Hamid.
According to the prime minister s office, matters pertaining to the external security situation comprised India s aggression both in occupied Kashmir and across the Line of Control (LoC) through ceasefire violations (CFVs) which PM Imran Khan had earlier said exceeded 3,000 in 2020 alone.
