Restart of Genesee County Circuit Court jury trials delayed after county sees coronavirus spike Updated Mar 02, 2021; GENESEE COUNTY, MI Criminal jury trials in Genesee County Circuit Court scheduled to restart this week have been delayed until at least Wednesday, March 10 after Genesee County saw a spike in COVID-19 cases. Chief Judge Duncan Beagle told MLive-The Flint Journal on Tuesday, March 2 the date jury trials were due to restart following a Feb. 26 announcement about the latest delay. Genesee County now has a seven-day average positivity rate above of 5% on coronavirus diagnostic tests after it saw a surge in both coronavirus case numbers and positivity rates.
