In his application, the politician turned-businessman claimed that he first leased the building in 2015 and was planning to transform the facility which also houses coffee mills into a business centre.
He said the lease was later extended in 2018 but New KPCU Company Ltd refused to hand over to him the agreed portion of the building estimated to be 187,000 square metres.
Mr Ahmed further claimed that his company Woolwich Properties (K) Ltd had obtained Sh646million funding, part of which had already been invested in the refurbishment of the building.

At least 7,000 coffee farmers from Nyeri County have applied for the Sh3 billion coffee revolving fund, according to the Kenya Planters Co-operative Union (KPCU).
KPCU chairperson Henry Kinyua on Wednesday held a briefing with Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga on the progress of the cherry fund disbursement and the Sh1.5 billion coffee revitalisation programme.
“This is the first disbursement of funds, during a main coffee season, and governor Kahiga wanted an update on the status of applications and disbursement in Nyeri,” Kinyua stated.

Speaking after the closed door meeting, Kinyua said KPCU had disbursed Sh12 million to farmers across the country and was in the process of evaluating the applications of Nyeri farmers.

pictured) has said the bill that proposes sweeping reforms in the coffee sector is ready and if implemented will improve farmers livelihoods and enhance its contribution to economic development.
Munya said the regulatory reforms are critical in revitalizing the sorry state in the coffee sub sector to ensure farmers get the value of their toil.
He said the government has already set aside Sh2 billion revolving fund to bail out coffee farmers amid challenges like market volatility, pests, diseases and negative impacts of climate change.
