The Clone Wars sequel series debuts on Disney+ for May the 4th. The series will hopefully answer questions about what happened to the Clone Troopers after the rise of the Empire. While the series focuses on the future, fans must not forget the foundation that The Clone War laid out, and Hasbro has captured it all. May the 4th marks all new things Star Wars, so it s a must to look back at things fans might have missed in this galaxy far, far away. Modern Star Wars fans don’t realize there was once a “dark ages” when there was almost no fresh material coming out after the original movies.
That changed in 1991 when Timothy Zahn’s novels created the Expanded Universe. This led to scores of books, comics, and video games, which fleshed out the post-movies era. It was added on by the Clone Wars animated series.
When the new trilogy began in 2015, the EU was transformed into the non-canon “Legends.” However, several of its characters have made the jump into live-action.

When Star Wars the Clone Wars debuted in theaters in 2008, the reaction was not good. Fans disliked the animation and flimsy story and sudden introduction of Anakin’s never-before mentioned Padawan Ahsoka Tano.
But as the first season of the series went on, the fandom slowly but surely came around to it. It was helped by the writers deepening the show, taking daring chances, and adding in great characters from clone troopers Cody and Rex to cunning crook Hondo.
