GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 5 Florida defeated USF, 9-1 (6) & 2-1, in a midweek doubleheader Wednesday evening at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
Charla Echols led the Gators (29-4) with four RBI through the two games, which included a key three-run home run in the first game against the Bulls (17-9) and an RBI double in game two that sealed the second victory of the day.

Echols Leads Gator Softball to Doubleheader Sweep of USF
Charla Echols stepped to the plate in the first inning of the first game of a doubleheader against USF with two runners on base. She blasted the third pitch in the at-bat over the fence in right-center field to give the Gators an early 3-0 lead in the first game of the doubleheader.
