CAGE COUNTY, Neb. (KLKN) – Two cars collided on a Gage County road Thursday night, sending one person to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Sherrif’s Office says the accident happened on Highway 77 south of Buckeye road as a 2003 Buick CX was driving all over the road, first on the shoulder and then coming back into the travel lane and crossing to the wrong side of the road. That’s when the Sherrif’s Office says the Buick hit a 2014 Honda CR-V.

Updated: 7:20 PM CDT Apr 25, 2021 Maureen Lewis A 28-year-old motorcyclist has died in a crash after Gage County deputies lost sight of him during a pursuit. NSP said the Gage County Sheriff s Office was in pursuit of the motorcycle on Highway 77. The deputy lost sight of that rider. NSP spotted that motorcycle 8 minutes later traveling northbound on Highway 77, just south of Lincoln. The two cruisers were traveling in the opposite direction as the motorcyclist, so they turned around to try and conduct a traffic stop. Troopers said that s when the motorcycle rear-ended a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Troopers used CPR, but the man died at the scene. The Lincoln police department will investigate the crash and pursuit before it. NSP did not release why the motorcyclist was being pursued.
