The deadly coronavirus is showing its effect everywhere. The total number of coronavirus positive cases increased to 4,19,966 with 3,45,683 patients recovering fully.
During the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, medical oxygen lines were installed in 10,000 hospital beds in government hospitals across Telangana, now ensuring that immediate oxygen demand would be met.
Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender said that the state has enough oxygen. He further added that, Telangana was the first state to deploy planes to get oxygen after learning about the shortage of oxygen in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. We will distribute the oxygen received from Orissa to both government and private hospitals.

Health dept. has been facing severe criticism for ‘under-reporting COVID deaths’
After coming under severe criticism for alleged under-reporting of COVID-19 deaths, senior officials from the Health department gave a clarification on Wednesday.
Director of Medical Education (DME) Dr. K. Ramesh Reddy said that along with COVID patients, non-COVID patients in critical condition too, are admitted at several such hospitals, and the deaths are a combined list of both types of patients.

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has instructed the officials concerned to utilise the healthcare infrastructure and human resources judiciously and optimally for the effective management of COVID situation and also to ensure that every deserving patient gets right and timely treatment.
In a video conference held with District Collectors, Additional Collectors, DM&HOs, District Hospital/Area Hospital Superintendents and other officials from BRKR Bhavan, the makeshift Secretariat, here on Saturday he discussed the steps to be taken to control Covid-19 spread. He highlighted the need to synergise the efforts of all departments to combat the pandemic.

Director of Medical Education (DME) K. Ramesh Reddy has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. He is in isolation, and is said to have mild symptoms.
The senior health official had been active in pandemic management in the State and handling all teaching hospitals which are also treating COVID-19 patients. The DME had taken two shots of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Meanwhile, film star and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan also tested positive for COVID-19 and is in isolation at his farmhouse in the city where he is being treated by his personal doctors.
