(WVIR) - Citing an unusually large increase in positive COVID-19 cases both on and off grounds, the University of Virginia is enacting additional health and safety restrictions to limit the spread of COVID-19. According to an email from the university, the following restrictions will be enacted effective at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16: All in-person events and gatherings, on and off grounds, are prohibited and should be moved online. In-person classes will continue, with extra safety measures in place.
