Gardai say they are keeping open mind in investigation into death of boy, 4, in Co Limerick

GARDAI say they are keeping an open mind in their investigations into the death of a four-year-old boy, who sustained serious head injuries.
The little lad, named locally as Mason O’Connell, lost his fight for life in Dublin’s Temple Street Hospital yesterday.

It followed an incident in a house in Rathbane, Co Limerick, on Saturday.
A spokeswoman added: “Investigating gardaí maintain an open mind in this investigation. An Garda Siochana is not providing further information at this time.”
The boy’s family along with their neighbours and friends have been left shocked by his death.
