Johnson Creek FD responds to residential fire; no injuries

JOHNSON CREEK, Wis. - A fire in Johnson Creek caused tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage on Wednesday, April 7, fire officials said.
According to Johnson Creek Fire & EMS, the fire started in the attached garage of a residence near Union and Parkview around 9:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, the first units found that the garage was fully engulfed in flames. The first incoming engine company established water supply and began fire suppression.
As additional units arrived and the fire was knocked down, crews made entry to the residents to check for fire extension.
Lightning strikes Brookfield home, damages electrical systems

BROOKFIELD, Wis. - Fire crews responded to a home on Keswick Court following a lightning strike Wednesday afternoon.
No fire was found, but an assessment found that the lightning strike caused damage to the roof and when it hit the structure followed the hot water exhaust pipe throughout the entire house.

The electrical panel had major damage from the lightning and they also reported a smell of natural gas.
The natural gas was already turned off at the meter prior to 2162 making entry into the house.
