After not being able to gather for more than a year, the state’s largest LGBTQ+ pride group, Big Sky Pride, is taking to the streets of Helena this week. The annual celebration will wrap up events in the state’s capital this weekend with a parade and rally on Saturday starting at 11 a.m.

“That’s our goal is to provide food that is healthy, so there’s no artificial colors. No preservatives in the food that’s here. It’s the way food was made and eaten like 150 years ago,” Kevin Hamm said.

A taqueria is a Mexican restaurant specializing in tacos and burritos, according to Merriam Webster Dictionary. Chavez is a family name. Pratt now has a new restaurant called Taqueria Chavez. It is located at the south end of town in the parking lot of the Pratt Business Center and Self-Storage building. Some people refer to this eatery as a “taco truck.” It is a walk up trailer fully equipped to make a variety of homemade Mexican delights, some of which may be new to area customers.

A Montana man was cited by police for disorderly conduct after video was made public of him harassing and using anti-gay slurs against one of his neighbors because of a dispute over political flags.
Michael Challans, 43, was cited by Helena police for using “loud, profane, and offensive language” as part of an ongoing dispute with 36-year-old Tim Mielke, who is gay.
