An Aaronsburg man died after a head-on crash Wednesday afternoon in Penns Valley, Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers said in a news release on Thursday. Longtime Millheim Fire Company volunteer firefighter Kevin Lingle, 64, was traveling on Route 45 in Haines Township at about 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday when his Pontiac Montana was struck by a Mitsubishi Mirage driven by a 20-year-old woman, according to state police at Rockview. Lingle was pronounced dead at Mount Nittany Medical Center. He died of chest and abdominal injuries, Sayers said.
