Sally Carman, who plays Abi, recently explained: At the point where Abi goes to get the crowbar, she is terrified about what she is going to find in the fridge. She is worried that Kevin is going to be dead. There is a real urgency and when she hears him respond, she collapses with shock and utter relief. Almost losing him makes her realise what she could have lost in this man who has turned her life around. When someone loves you that much, it is easy to love them back and you don t realise how much you love them until you almost lose it. It is an impulsive proposal but it is genuine.

When Kevin s girlfriend Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) finally realises something is amiss, the police are called over Kevin and Debbie being missing.
The police question Ray, believing that he may have something to do with the mystery. Ray lies about what he knows, making out that Kevin and Debbie have probably done a runner together with his money.
Ray s bogus story appears to check out, as he signed everything over to Debbie and her subsequent disappearing act seems suspicious.
Fortunately, Abi eventually finds Kevin and Debbie in the Bistro fridge and manages to free them. ITV
