JF Caron Sets New Hummer-Tire Deadlift World Record

The nine-time Canada s Strongest Man champion had a record-setting performance at the Shaw Classic. Last updated on December 18th, 2020 Nine-time Canada’s Strongest Man JF Caron‘s career trajectory has only gone upward. His competitive career includes 10 appearances at the World’s Strongest Man (WSM) contest, where he has only ever matched or improved his competition best at that event. At the 2020 WSM contest, he had made the podium for the first time with a third-place finish behind Tom Stoltman and the eventual winner Oleksii Novikov. Caron furthered his current hot streak at the inaugural Shaw Classic in Colorado on Dec. 12, 2020. The contest’s namesake and organizer, four-time WSM champion Brian Shaw, ultimately bested Caron to win the event. However, in addition to picking up a silver-medal finish in a contest that saw 10 WSM-level strongmen compete,

Zydrunas Savickas Crushes 2020 Lithuanian Strongest Man

This is Big Z s 16th Lithuanian Strongest Man title in 19 appearances. Last updated on December 10th, 2020 Lithuania’s Zydrunas Savickas is arguably the greatest competitive strongman of all time. At least, that’s what the majority of the 2020 World’s Strongest Man (WSM) competitors think, and for good reason. He is a four-time WSM champion, an eight-time Arnold Strongman Classic (ASC) champion, has a trophy room decorated with literally hundreds of accolades, and recently won his 16th Lithuania’s Strongest Man (LSM) competition. The 45-year-old strongman legend has not lost that title in the last 13 times he’s competed since 2002 (he did not compete in 2003, 2010-11, and 2016). The three appearances where he missed gold were still podium finishes second place in 1997 and 2001 and a third-place finish in his debut in 1996.
