Dr Kelly Victory disputes California s mask mandate -

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Despite the CDC’s recommendation, mask mandates will remain in California until June 15. Dr. Kelly Victory, Emergency and Disaster Specialist, joined KUSI’s Jason Austell to discuss the state’s COVID-19 response. Unless one has an illness, Dr. Kelly Victory said, there is no need to wear a mask indoors or outdoors. Dr. Victory also objected to children wearing masks, as children are not good “vectors” of the illness, meaning they are not good at spreading it, she said.

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Pfizer became the first pharmaceutical company to ask the FDA for full approval of its COVID-19 vaccine. Like Moderna and Johnson & Johnson’s vaccines, Pfizer’s COVID shot is currently being administered under emergency use authorization. The full FDA approval process will take around six months after the agency receives all pre-clinical and clinical trial data. At the same time, Pfizer is also applying to extend its emergency use to include children between the ages of 12 to 15. Currently, everyone 16-years and older are able to get any of the COVID vaccines throughout the United States. But, young people have extremely low-risk to COVID-19, and it has been proved that they aren’t significant spreaders of the disease. Dr. Kelly Victory recently appeared on KUSI News and said young, healthy people should not get the vaccine, especially if they have the COVID-19 antibodies.

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – As early as next week, a Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine could be approved for children aged 12 to 15 but Dr. Kelly Victory says it’s unwise. Recent studies have shown that American children account for 22% of new daily COVID-19 cases in the U.S., which is 3% up from last year. Dr. Victory, Emergency and Public Health Specialist, reasons that COVID-19 vaccines are not FDA-approved and are only being administered under emergency use authorization. She added that subjecting children who have zero significant risk from the vaccine is not a good idea, especially while long term effects from vaccines are still unknown.

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Now that the coronavirus vaccine is available to anyone 16 years or older, many are still wondering why they can’t return to normal life. President Biden and VP Harris, refuse to take their masks off, even though both of them are fully vaccinated. President Biden even wore his mask on a Zoom call with world leaders, a decision White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said was meant to send “a message to the world.” Dr. Fauci also continues to wear his mask, despite being fully vaccinated. Senator Rand Paul both got into heated exchanges with Fauci for continuing to wear his mask after being vaccinated. Senator Paul even challenged President Biden to “burn his mask” on national television to encourage Americans to get vaccinated since people are becoming hesitant if they cannot return to normal life.
