Travelers will be able to ‘fly well’ with the opening of Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian’s Fly Well Clinic.
The 850-square-foot facility is a partnership between the Newport Beach hospital and officials at John Wayne Airport.
It is located post-security in Terminal B, across from Gate 10. This is not to be confused with Hoag’s rapid testing clinic that is also located in the same terminal before security and opened in January.
“As we begin to see an increase in air travel once again, we want to ensure that our guests feel safe and healthy,” Airport Director Barry Rondinella said in a statement. “We believe our partnership with Hoag will help achieve that important community healthcare goal.”

Asia Gardner, a sophomore at Western Michigan University, sat unmoving and completely focused on the television screen at home. Chills ran down her spine and tears welled up in her eyes as she watched the first woman ever to be sworn into office as Vice President of the United States.Â
Gardner recognized the inspiration and confidence she could already see building in her little sisters and grew even more hopeful for the future. She wasnât the only young woman attending WMU that became overwhelmed with emotions as Vice President Kamala Harris was sworn into office Jan. 20.Â

“I come into the parking lot, I see how many cars are there and that’s how I determine whether or not I’m going to let her off,” she says.
“Today, the parking lot is full, so, no, we didn’t go off leash. It’s more fun off-leash, of course, and it’s getting busier here, so I haven’t been able to do it very often lately.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Researchers at the University of Arizona are working to develop a smartphone COVID-19 test, with test results within minutes.
“It’s extremely sensitive. It takes less than ten minutes,” said University of Arizona Professor Dr. Kelly Reynolds.
Reynolds said aside from a smartphone, everything you need to run the COVID-19 test costs less than $100.
Reynolds said the real beauty of this test is in its simplicity.
It is similar to a pregnancy test, but you use your saliva as the liquid. You put your saliva on the microfluidic chip, which is loaded with certain reagents that react to the COVID-19 virus.
