They crossed more than 14 countries and walked more than 10,500 kilometres - a distance that stretches all the way from Kerry to Tanzania. On Sunday they arrived at their virtual destination having completed their novel fund-raiser by pounding the roads of Mid Kerry to rack up the impressive total.
January has been a busy month in Mid-Kerry as the community came together to support the walk from Kerry to Tanzania - a total of 10,500km in the month.
The idea by MKL Gaels - the local ladies GAA club covering Milltown, Castlemaine, Keel and Listry - was to help the community thrive during lock-down while at the same time helping a very worth-while charity.
