DISRUPTION caused by the Covid pandemic hasn t stopped pupils from an Astwood Bank school from creating their own online magazine. Students at Ridgeway Secondary School, Evesham Road, began turning their journalistic ambitions into reality over lockdown by setting up the magazine, called The Real Ridgeway. It was the brainchild of year 11 media studies students and their teacher Emily Nicholls, and now pupils from years nine and ten have also joined the team. Emily said: Several of our year 11s want to go into the media and are looking at A-level media courses at college, so this has been a fantastic outlet for them.
