Ridgecrest city goal: 77% of roads resurfaced by 2025

If all goes to plan, the city will have resurfaced 77 percent of its roads or 99.2 centerline miles of roadway by November 2025, according to Public Works Director Bard Lower at the most recent council meeting Feb. 3. Lower said the numbers reflect the time since Measure L was enacted in 2012.
The city’s pavement condition index has also improved from 23.5 in 2011 to 62 today. The PCI is given on a scale of 1 to 100 and based on an evaluation of all city streets, according to Lower.
In addition, if Measure V is renewed, all city streets will have been resurfaced at least once by 2030, Lower said.
