Sign Up More big names – including popular comedian Reginald D Hunter, acclaimed wildlife filmmaker Gordon Buchanan and top politician Vince Cable – have been announced for Scotland’s vibrant Fringe By The Sea festival. The latest additions join a line-up that already features major attractions such as Lulu, Ed Byrne, Eddi Reader, Janey Godley, Irvine Welsh and Gail Porter, who will be at the arts fest in North Berwick, held from August 6 to 15.

NEWS that one of Scotland’s greatest pop legends has been booked for North Berwick’s Fringe by the Sea will make you wanna shout! Singer Lulu (pictured below, by R Purvis) is set to appear at the annual festival on August 7 – 57 years after releasing her debut single Shout, which catapulted her to international fame at the age of 15. In 1969, she was part of a four-way tie winner of that year’s Eurovision Song Contest with her song Boom Bang-a-Bang, and in 2015 she wowed young crowds when she appeared at the Glastonbury Festival. Also booked for Fringe by the Sea this year is perennial favourite Eddi Reader, former lead singer with Fairground Attraction who released her acclaimed solo album The Songs of Robert Burns in 2003.

Pop legend Lulu is leading the latest big names announced for one of Scotland’s most popular festivals this summer. Joining the iconic Scottish singer at Fringe By The Sea in North Berwick will be fellow national singing treasure Eddi Reader and top Irish comedian Ed Byrne. They will be part of a dizzying array of talent taking part in the popular festival from August 6 to 15 – including Basement Jaxx, Janey Godley, Huey Morgan, Peat & Diesel, The Blues Band, Irvine Welsh, Gail Porter and The Poozies.
