AFTER recently turning 50, Gail Porter would love nothing more than to fall in love again – but failed to make the cut for Celebrity First Dates.
The former TV presenter, who lost her hair to scalp condition alopecia in 2005, is keen to find her perfect match but was not picked to appear on Channel 4’s hit dating show.

WORLD-FAMOUS author Irvine Welsh is among the latest list of stars confirmed for this year’s Fringe by the Sea festival in North Berwick. Other new names include TV personality Gail Porter, presenter Paul Murton (pictured below), writer and doctor Gavin Francis, and author Helen McClory. Scottish author Welsh is the first of the summer festival’s literary guests to be announced and looks set to be a huge draw for the town’s socially distanced event. Rory Steel, festival director, said: “Having announced that we have laid plans to return this summer with some acts who were programmed last year, we are really pleased to bring this group of writers and presenters to North Berwick.”
