Concern over small but steady rise of Covid-19 cases in Inverurie Health bosses in Grampian say they are concerned about a small but steady rise in coronavirus cases in the Inverurie area. Ten cases were recorded in Aberdeenshire yesterday - double that of Aberdeen - while none were registered in Moray, which is under level three coronavirus restrictions. Testing capacity is now being ramped up. A statement from NHS Grampian said: There would seem to be a small but steady increase in positive Covid cases around Inverurie. We all want to nip this in the bud now. One in three people with Covid-19 don t show any symptoms, which is why widespread community testing is so important.

In a letter to all parents and carers, it said the school had been made aware of a detected case of Covid-19 late on Wednesday. Any student that came into close contact with the positive Covid case will be asked to self-isolate. Kemnay Academy will remain open in the meantime.

An overly protective boyfriend punched a driver in the face after he sounded his horn when his girlfriend stalled. Blair Gibbon leaped from the passenger seat of the vehicle his girlfriend was driving on Don Street, Aberdeen, on July 7 last year to confront the impatient driver behind the couple when his partner stalled. A man in the car behind, who had tooted his horn, then became embroiled in an argument with Gibbon, with Gibbon, 27, lashing out with his fist and leaving the man bleeding from a cut to his eye.
