Kentucky’s tennis star, Liam Draxl, is headed to the final four!
The Canadian, who has been among the top college tennis singles players in the country, clinched his spot in the national semifinals after defeating No. 8 seed Gabriel Decamps of UCF 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 on Wednesday.
Draxl, who holds a 25-2 record, goes up against No. 6 seed Sam Riffice, whose Florida team earned its first national title last weekend with a first serve scheduled for 2 p.m.
Draxl looks to join Carlos Drada (2000), Jesse Witten (2002) and Eric Quigley (2012) as the only Wildcats in program history to advance to the NCAA Championship final, per UK Athletics.

It was a big weekend for the Kentucky Football program as multiple Wildcats began their professional careers.
Starting with the draft, Jamin Davis (Washington), Kelvin Joseph (Cowboys), Quinton Bohanna (Cowboys), Brandin Echols (Jets), Landon Young (Saints), and Phil Hoskins (Panthers) all heard their names called.
And on top of that, some notable former Wildcats inked free agent deals just after the draft concluded.
Drake Jackson, who many thought would be a draft pick, quickly signed a deal with the Detroit Lions, AJ Rose signed a deal with the Vikings, and Boogie Watson landed a deal with the Steelers.
