Cherie Johnson was recently named Minnesota’s Special Education Administrator of the Year by the Minnesota Administrators for Special Education for her work. “I am honored that they chose me. There are so many others out there that are worthy of this award,” Johnson said. Johnson started her career in Minnesota as a special education teacher in the Red Wing School District in 1998 and has been in the Goodhue County Education District executive director since July 2007.

The Huskies (6-1) topped Red Wing 61-55 for their fifth straight win. Brayden Williams led OHS with 22 points. Blake Burmeister scored 15. Regular starters Payton Beyer, Nolan Burmeister and Evan Dushek all came in off the bench. Huskies coach Josh Williams credited the Wingers defense for limiting the number of possessions in the game.
