Second man charged in fight that led to murder
However, Kenneth Hatch is charged with assaulting the murder suspect, Alton Rhodes.
According to the Arrest Warrant:
Police arrested Kenneth Hatch Tuesday morning and charged him with assaulting Rhodes during an incident in February where Rhodes allegedly shot and killed 52-year-old Charles Bolf.

According to a previous Times Record News report, on Feb. 11 Bolf arrived with Hatch and another man at an address on Colleen Drive. Rhodes told investigators Hatch and the other man jumped him as he tried to fight Bolf. When the fight ended, Hatch and his companion went back to their vehicle while Rhodes went inside, came back with a gun, shot Bolf, and shot at Mathis and the second man as they fled.
According to the warrant:
On February 11, Wichita Falls First Responders were sent to the 4800 block of Colleen Drive to check a report of gunshots being fired.
The caller to 9-1-1 reported hearing multiple shots, people screaming and seeing a black Jeep speeding away.
The first officer on-scene found Samantha Bolf sitting on the sidewalk crying and holding a man who was bleeding profusely from his head and neck.
The victim was identified as Charles Richard Bolf Jr., Samantha’s father.
While helping the victim, the officer noticed a male, later identified as Alton Rhodes, in the driveway. Rhodes was yelling at two other men who approached on foot. Rhodes was shouting, “That’s right I shot that mother cker, self-defense!” and, “I put the gun in the house.”
