BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â Slow Roll Buffalo kicked off its weekly ten mile ride on Monday. The first trip of the season rolled out of Big Ditch with stops at Front Park and MLK Park.
âIâm feeling good, said rider Kenneth Lawrence. Itâs excellent, I didnât do nothing last year, but Iâm doing it this year.â
Slow Roll Buffalo Board Member Janelle Brooks said the toughest restriction is the state s 200 person limit on large outdoor gatherings. In the past, Slow Roll has had groups of more than 1,000 riders. This year, Slow Roll will group riders 50-100 at a time, with staggered starts.

(Kingston, RI) One of the first doctor of pharmacy graduates of the University of Rhode Island is establishing a new scholarship to help lessen racial disparity in the pharmacy profession.Kenneth Lawrence, who is black, received his doctorate in 1990 and has worked as a clinical pharmacist and in pharmaceutical development.The university says his fifty-thousand-dollar gift will be invested in the URI endowment.The scholarship will support College of Pharmacy students with a preference for African-Americans or other historically-underrepresented populations.
