A DE who can soak up snaps on 1st & 2nd down (I trust the rookies to develop as pass-rushers, but not every down DEs)
Another CB for depth (have to assume Hughes/ Gladney will be unavailable at some point)
A versatile OL backup
Who are the free agents that fit this bill?
For DE, Kerrigan, Vernon, Trent Murphy, or Melvin Ingram would all be incredible additions. Another option would be signing Sheldon Richardson and having him play strongside DE on run downs, before shifting to 3T on passing downs. Justin Houston could be a bargain option

If anyone caught any of the RJ Ochoa live feeds during the draft, there was a never-ending clamor throughout Day 2 and Day 3 among participants to grab a Safety - any Safety. And many name players at the position were available at decent value throughout. Many, like Divine Deablo (Pick 80), Elijah Molden (Pick 100), Tyree Gillespie (143), Caden Sterns (152), Jamar Johnson (152), Richard LeCounte (169), Talanoa Hufanga (180), Hamsah Nasirilldeen (186), Joshua Bledsoe (188), Damar Hamlin (212), JaCoby Stevens (224), and James Wiggins (243), fell well within the Cowboys reach on numerous occasions. Ar Darius Washington was undrafted. The depths to which these players fell in the draft is an indicator that this position does not generally matter in the NFL league-wide once you get past the most elite prospects.
Titans complete their extreme makeover of struggling defense

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) The Tennessee Titans have completed their extreme makeover of one of the NFL’s worst defenses.
Gone are seven players who started at least three games last season, including three in the secondary to create salary cap space. In are free agent signees linebacker Bud Dupree, lineman Denico Autry and cornerback Janoris “Jackrabbit” Jenkins.
The latest changes came in the NFL draft with the Titans finishing Saturday making five of their eight selections on defense led by first-round selection cornerback Caleb Farley out of Virginia Tech.
