Katarina Waters On Starring In New Wrestling Documentary, Her Future in Wrestling

Katarina Waters is set to appear in the new wrestling documentary The Other Side of the Ring, and recently discussed her appearance as well as her wrestling future. The former Katie Lea Burchill and Winter spoke with Wrestling Inc promoting the documentary which looks at four women in the industry in Waters, Shelly Martinez, Delilah Doom and Keta Meggett. It is set to release on May 20th on digital platforms, and we’ll have a review of it up soon. You can see some highlights from the interview below: On the Other Side of the Ring documentary: “To be honest, I haven’t watched all of it now because I have resistance watching myself. It takes me a while to overcome my fear and worry about saying something stupid. For me, the interesting part is I know the other women, but to get a deeper understanding of wrestling and their backgrounds and what their path was like is really interesting.”

Katarina Waters On Her Wrestling Future, ‘The Other Side Of The Ring’ Documentary Photo Credit: The Other Side of the Ring After more than 20 years, Katarina Waters reflects on her journey through professional wrestling in the documentary The Other Side of the Ring. The West German veteran is featured along with fellow former WWE and Impact Wrestling alum Shelly Martinez, independent star Delilah Doom and Keta Meggett, who WOW Women of Wrestling know as Keta Rush. Meggett connected Waters with film director and writer Jeremy Norrie. “To be honest, I haven’t watched all of it now because I have resistance watching myself,” Waters said. “It takes me a while to overcome my fear and worry about saying something stupid. Jeremy Norrie, director of “The Other Side of the Ring,” goes the other direction, following the booker’s inclination to send the fans home happy. “I’ve watched a lot of the other documentaries, and some of them are really, really good, but there is a little dramatization, and they focus on some of the real horror stories,” Norrie said. “I kind of liked the idea that this doesn’t have to necessarily be a bad thing, that everybody’s story is, you know, a personal journey, and there’s emotional tie-ins for everybody. Some are like, more harsh than others, right? B
