âSave The Date,â it said.
Well, save the date for what, you might ask.
But before we get to the âwhat,â let us say weâve been humbled by the many ways that Ketchikan people have been exhibiting the Christmas spirit during this unusual holiday season.
While weâve missed the sparkling swirl of social events and the home-for-the-holiday charm of church bazaars, there remains a good cheer among many people with whom we speak. Brightly decorated homes and businesses help raise our spirits, as do the community Christmas tree downtown and the trimmings along the streets. These things are a steadying grace in a time when weâre missing traditions.
