Tontitown residents sign petition against expansion on NWA’s landfill
Tontitown neighbors are petitioning against the expansion of Northwest Arkansas’ only landfill.
The Tontitown mayor said the landfill has been in Tontitown for more than 40 years and some neighbors who live across the street say they have not always been the best neighbors. Sign up for our Newsletters “We’ve been told time and time again that things would get better, but things just stay the same,” Jami Morgan, petitioning against expansion of landfill said.
Jami Morgan’s family has lived in this house since the 1970s. She said the odor from the landfill is just one concern. Morgan and a few other neighbors met with Waste Management for the first time in October 2020.
