Ten North Shore cities and towns have formed a collaborative to offer COVID vaccine clinics locally.
The clinics will be held in Topsfield, Ipswich and Rockport and will be open to eligible residents from all the communities in the collaborative: Boxford, Middleton, Topsfield, Ipswich, Hamilton, Wenham, Essex, Gloucester, Rockport and Manchester-by-the-Sea
“Our goal is, if somebody needs a shot, wants a shot, to do everything we can to help provide that to those people as efficiently and effectively as possible,” said Topsfield Town Administrator Kevin Harutunian.
Residents can find and sign up for the clinics, which will be run by the local boards of health, at https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/. Just enter the name of a town in the search field.

First responders from five communities received the COVID vaccine over the course of two days at the Topsfield Fairgrounds.
“An absolutely terrific example of teamwork, that’s what it was,” said Topsfield Fire Chief Jen-Collins Brown. “It was public safety and public health working hand-in-hand to get a really big job done in a really short amount of time.”
The regional vaccination clinic served first responders from Boxford, Topsfield, Hamilton, Wenham and Middleton. It ran Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 11-12, at Coolidge Hall.
Topsfield Town Administrator Kevin Harutunian said 230 people were vaccinated on Monday, 70 on Tuesday.
The Fairgrounds is being considered by the state as a possible mega-site for vaccinations when the COVID vaccine is rolled out to the general public. The flu clinics the Topsfield Health Department held there last year, Harutunian said, were good practice for the COVID clinics.
