The Rochester police officer who was blinded when he was stabbed on Peck Street last year has filed a Notice of Claim against the Rochester Police Department, the City of Rochester and Monroe County.
Dennison Denny Wright, a 24-year veteran of the Rochester Police Department, was attacked when he responded to a domestic disturbance at 37 Peck St. on Oct. 4, 2019.
Keith Williams, now 29, is accused of punching Wright in the face and using a knife with an 8-inch blade to repeatedly stab Wright in the face, left eye, and lower body, causing serious physical injuries which were deemed to be life-threatening, according to court documents.
