George David was on parole when he brutally attacked the woman early last year, Crown prosecutor William Slack said. He said David punched the woman in the face before stealing her phone and running away on April 18. David closed the door, grabbed her by the throat while armed with a taser and dragged her to a bedroom, Mr Slack said.
