Water police have joined in searches in the southern parts of the Sunshine Coast for a man described as “violent and dangerous” and potentially still armed with a machete.

Subscriber only A manhunt has resumed today as police scour bushland and creeks in bid to find a man and woman who authorities fear is still armed with a machete. Police have warned people to not approach a man they say is dangerous . It comes after his alleged involvement in a violent crime spree including the serious assault on a group of teenagers. Kendall Arthur Poole, 38, is believed to be camping in bush with a 38-year-old woman in the Coochin Creek area. Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch officer-in-charge Detective Senior Sergeant Daren Edwards said it was more than likely that Poole was still armed with the weapon.
