The doldrums of summer have set in & for Basketball die-hards, there isn t a ton to discuss right now other than recruiting & player movement. Obviously, Coach Boeheim has nowhere near the epidemic level portal problems of Quentin Hillsman where his entire team said - see ya, wouldn t wanna be ya! (to which he made laughable excuses galore & awkward, off color attempts at half-hearted humor coupled with various borderline dumpster fire comments which the Syracuse administration has chosen not to act upon, as clearly he should be let go)

The Matthew Greene no one knew: ‘Proud Boy’ Matthew J. Greene spent six years in the National Guard hunting and fighting terrorists. Then the Syracuse man became one, according to federal prosecutors. Greene, 33, has been charged with coordinating and leading the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Syracuse, N.Y. Even from a vantage point all the way on the opposite coast, former Syracuse women’s basketball star Brittney Sykes tries to keep tabs on the Orange and coach Quentin Hillsman.
Sykes is one of the best players to ever come out of SU, an all-around guard who helped Hillsman and Syracuse reach the 2016 NCAA title game. She’s now a key member of the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks. Last year, her first with that team, she averaged 10.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

Tiana Mangakahia practiced with the Phoenix Mercury for the first time Sunday. Mangakahia signed a training camp contract with the Mercury after going undrafted earlier this month.
Sandy Brondello, the head coach of the Phoenix Mercury, previously coached Mangakahia for the Australian Opals in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics. Throughout her camp with the Opals, Mangakahia learned set plays that her current head coach still utilizes. Mangakahia’s familiarity with Brondello has helped her adjust to her new team, she said.
