Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien made the statement during an online meeting about managing and developing industrial clusters on July 2. In 2020, Vietnam had 968 industrial clusters, covering 30,912ha. Of which, the infrastructure of 450 clusters was invested in by private firms. As of now, the authorities have approved technical infrastructure projects at 955 clusters that cover 29,782ha and have a total investment of VND115trn (USD4.9bn).

Photo: Tien Thang / Tuoi Tre All tourist attractions in Quang Ninh Province and Hai Phong City in northern Vietnam, including the famous Ha Long Bay, have been shut down due to the increasingly serious COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam. The Quang Ninh People’s Committee decided to suspend all tourism activities from 12:00 pm on Thursday until further notice as part of its coronavirus prevention and control efforts. Among those having been closed are tourist areas and attractions, relics, and scenic lookouts, including the UNESCO-recognized Ha Long Bay, as well as sea-island tourism routes.
