$100 million to back child care in areas that need it most
More than 640 child care services in regional, remote and disadvantaged communities around Australia will share in more than $100 million to help improve access to care and increase workforce participation.
The Community Child Care Fund gives approved services critical funding that may be needed to keep them operating and increase the number of children they can care for.

According to the governor's office, the investments in the Summer Learning and Child Care packagewill create grants for enrichment activities, academic support, child care and early learning programs.
SALEM, Ore. – Oregon legislators proposed a plan to help support K-12 students over the summer.
Over the past year, students have put up with months of distance learning, with many of them falling behind academically because of the pandemic.
In an effort to offset this, Oregon leaders announced a $250 million “Summer Learning and Child Care” package to help students over the summer.
Governor Kate Brown’s Office said the package will “create grants for enrichment activities, academic support, child care, and early learning programs.”
