An Ohio woman facing charges for the 1992 murder of Baby April issued a not-guilty plea Tuesday.  Angela Siebke, 47, from Whitehall, Ohio, pleaded not-guilty to first degree murder virtually in Rock Island County Court, Dec. 29, 2020. Siebke also waived her preliminary hearing and wants to proceed with a jury trial. 

Suspected Mother of Baby April Pleads Not Guilty

Angela Siebke Credit Moline Police Department Formerly from Orion and now living in Ohio, she was arrested earlier this month after police used DNA from the baby, known as Baby April, to identify her as a suspect. In 1992, the body of a female infant was found in a trash bag in the Mississippi River, near 17th Street in downtown Moline.  She was named Baby April and buried in Riverside Cemetery. Siebke s next hearing is set for late in January, with a tentative trial date in February.   Tags:
