EAST GULL LAKE A small wildfire apparently sparked by fireworks left charring on pine trees across the road from the East Gull Lake City Hall Monday, July 5.
In what Pillager Fire Chief Greg Ringler described as “a little bit of hoopla to begin with,” the drought-like conditions, scorching July heat and wind direction prompted concern the fire might push into nearby Gull Lake Resort on Gull Lake Dam Road, requiring evacuation.
