KU Decides To Conduct All Remaining PG, UG Exams Via Online Mode SRINAGAR: The University of Kashmir has decided to conduct all its remaining PG and UG examinations in the online mode in view of the ongoing pandemic situation and ensure that there is no loss of students’ academic time. The decision says that was taken pursuant to detailed deliberations held during a high-level meeting of the advisory committee, headed by Prof Neelofar Khan, as well as a meeting of the varsity’s deans’ committee chaired by Dean of Academic Affairs Prof Shabir A Bhat. The recommendations of the committee were approved by Vice-Chancellor Prof Talat Ahmad following which the Registrar Dr Nisar Ahmad Mir ordered that the examination of the remaining papers of 4th semester and other end-semester examinations shall be conducted in online mode after 15th May 2021, it says.

CB Jammu arrests J&K home department special secretary for forging date of birth

Jammu, March 11 (KNS): The Crime Branch Jammu has arrested a special secretary of Jammu and Kashmir home department, who has been retrospectively superannuated by the government, for forging and manipulating his date of borth in his service and official records. In a statement to news agency KNS, a sprokesperson said that Crime Branch Jammu arrested Special Secretary (Legal) Home Department J&K, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Ganai son of Abdul Salam Ganai, a resident of Chadoora in district Budgam who has been retrospectively superannuated by the government as on 31 March, 2019. He said that it has prima facie been established that Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Ganai forged and manipulated his own date of birth in his service/official records in connivance with others in order to take illegal monetary gains for himself and enjoy powers as Senior Legal Officer of the Union Territory.

Northlines NL Correspondent Jammu Tawi, March 10: Crime Branch Jammu today arrested Special Secretary (Legal) Home Department, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Ganai S/o Abdul Salam Ganai R/O Hanjura, Tehsil Chadoora, District-Budgam who has been retrospectively superannuated by the Govt. as on 31st March 2019. A press release of Crime Branch said, ‘It has prima facie been established that Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Ganai forged and manipulated his date of birth in his service/official records in connivance with others in order to take illegal monetary gains for himself and enjoy the position as Senior Legal Officer of the Union Territory’. CB today produced Ganai in the Court that granted his Police remand for investigation of the case.
