Tanveer Ahmad Khan of J-K s Kulgam clears IES ANI 03 Aug 2021, 11:55 GMT+10 Kulgam (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], August 3 (ANI): Bringing laurels to Kashmir valley, a 26-year-old Tanveer Ahmad Khan of Jammu and Kashmir s Kulgam district has qualified the Indian Economic Service (IES) exams and secured the second rank at All India level. Tanveer is the first one from the valley to qualify for the exam. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on July 30 released the results of the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service Examination (ISS) 2020. Tanveer Ahmad Khan, a resident of the Negeenpora Kund area of Kulgam, did his schooling from a local government school and later went to the Government Degree College Boys at Anantnag for his graduation in Arts. He also completed his Master s in Economics from Kashmir University in 2018. Later, Khan went to Kolkata for M. Phil in Development Studies and was preparing for IES alongside.

Cloudburst: 7 Dead, 17 Injured Recovered, 15 Still Missing

SRINAGAR: With seven bodies retrieved and efforts underway to locate the missing residents in Hunzar, the cloudburst pushed Kishtwar into instant mourning. People aware of the area said it is very difficult to locate bodies as the cloudburst has added an unimaginable quantum of water to the local Hunzar rivulet. Rope Bridge: In the twentieth century, rope bridges were abundant in Kashmir and elsewhere. Still, more than 20 people are being said to be missing.  These injured were washed to the shores by the water currents. Of the persons rescued, five are stated to be in a critical condition.
