Mohammad Rubel, who is one of their relatives, illegally took control of the house on two decimals of land owned by the siblings Samira Sadek and Sarwar Hossain Bushra about four months ago. Sabina Yasmeen, mother of the girls, briefed this to journalists at Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) office at Segunbagicha in the capital on Thursday. She said that her husband Sadek Hossain is an expatriate living in Kuwait. The mother along with their two daughters live in a rented house in the capital’s Purana Paltan as their differently abled daughter Bushra attends a school there.

IGP for keeping society normal by using law, serving people Sun Online Desk 8th January, 2021 05:49:27 Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Benazir Ahmed said on Friday that police could keep the society normal by using law and serving people instead of using muscle power. “I believe that not muscle power but service and proper use of law can keep the society normal,” he said, while addressing as the chief guest the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB). Police have a lot of legal powers, Dr Benazir said, adding: “Why they would apply muscle power? Police will have to use merit, conscience and the power of law.”
