Minnesota woman sentenced to six years for dealing meth in La Crosse May 18, 2021 11:07 AM Jourdan Vian Kong Vang and Pader Yang MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) A Saint Paul woman was sentenced to six years in federal prison and four months on supervision last week after she admitted to selling methamphetamine in the La Crosse area. Pader Yang, 30, was sentenced Friday by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley. She pled guilty in February to conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Yang was arrested along with her boyfriend, Kong Vang, after an investigation in July 2020 by the La Crosse Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony set for May 12 in Onalaska May 6, 2021 7:57 PM Site staff Updated: (Getty Images) ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) The Onalaska Police Department, in conjunction with the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office and the La Crosse Police Department, will host the annual Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, at Dash Park in Onalaska. The program, which traditionally takes place during National Police Week, will pay tribute to fallen officers from area law enforcement agencies. The event will include a ceremony, music by select members of the Onalaska High School Band and light refreshments. Dash Park is at the southeast corner of Second Avenue, which also is State Hwy 35, and Main Street.
