Legal woes grind Fairhaven town administrator search to a halt Daniel Schemer FAIRHAVEN The town’s hunt for its next town administrator got complicated, as one of the candidates to be interviewed is threatening legal action against one of the selectmen who will vote on the position. Wendy Graves, Finance Director and Treasurer, as well as interim town administrator since the retirement of Mark Rees, was supposed to be interviewed for the position this past week. The night of the interview, Feb. 23, documents were posted on social media by Ann Espindola, wife of Selectman Robert Espindola. The documents were a disclosure form for an appearance of a conflict of interest for the official, as well as emails and communications with law offices.

Grassroots TV Ballots have been mailed to most Aspen residents who will elect their next mayor and fill two city council seats in the municipal election on Tuesday, March 2. There are eight candidates running for the two open council seats. Incumbent Mayor Torre is running for a second, two-year term and faces a single challenger, artist Lee Mulcahy. The Aspen Times and Aspen Daily News recently held their signature “Squirm Night” virtually with both the Mayoral and City Council candidates on Grassroots TV.
